Hello my name is Deanna Hardy. I was born and raised in Oshawa but now reside in Courtice with my husband and two teenaged sons.
I received my Bachelor of Education Degree from Nipissing University and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Biology from Queen's University.
I have been a supply teacher with the Durham District School Board for the past 19 years. My favourite subjects to teach are Mathematics and Science but I have taught all subjects in the curriculum.
I am a very patient and experienced educator who loves to see her students succeed. There is nothing better than seeing that "Aha! Moment" on someone's face when they understand what is being taught to them. Read less

Since every student and every situation is unique there isn't one correct way to teach. Some students learn best by watching first while others learn best by hands-on activities. Even singing a little tune can help some students remember certain material. I would first talk to each student to find out what works best for them and go from there. Read less
