Start with recap of math concepts, then work on selected application exercises. Preparation for exams: work out actual exam. papers.
Plenty of experience with online teaching, one-to-one and also groups of students. For one-to-one sessions: I like to use a pen tablet both on my side and the student's side to exchange graphical information and/or math formulae that each one writes on the PC screen.
I am familiar with all topics of the IB math program. Keeping up-to-date: by doing many exercises both with the student and for myself, and making use of the students books or material provided by their teacher.
I talk direct with the parents as much as possible at the start or at the end of a session. I send periodically a short written note about progress,.

Work out the assignment with the student by providing hints and explanations. However, I let the student do the homework and write the solutions in his/her own words, prividing guidance as needed.
Important to check the behavior of the students: does he/she understand the explanations ? Is he/she attentive and concentrated ? Is he/she positive and forward looking to the class ?
